Is burning plastics to generate energy an ecofriendly idea?


Like you can burn coal or wood to generate / recover energy, so can you by burning plastics.

Now, that’s an interesting method to get rid of waste plastic that are polluting the earth, and at the same time also getting some useful energy from them, isn’t it?

Well, the answer appears to be a bit more nuanced, and here are the folks at the Cleantech Guide explaining the pros and cons of burning plastic for energy in this blog post.
