Organic Home Textiles – an emerging trend in textiles

While I mainly operate in the renewable energy space, other related domains within sustainability is of significant interest to me.

One of the areas that I have been following is the use of organic produce in a wide range of areas.

We all are aware of the use of organic raw materials for food, and also to a certain extent, apparel.

Of late, a number of folks are keen on having organic cotton based home textiles as well – that would be stuff like towels, pillows, curtains and drapes.

Here is an interesting blog post that sheds more light on the organic movement catching the home textiles sector too.

Interesting indeed.

India is the largest producer of organic cotton and major supplier to global organic brands.

There is a need for a home grown organic home textile brand catering to global consumers.
