The United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in Copenhagen Denmark, from December 7 to 18 is expected to come out with a plan to replace the Kyoto Protocol (KP) that would expire in 2012.

What is more important in this meet is that so far developed nations where forced to do much more on CO2 emission reduction since they are responsible for current high levels of greenhouse gas emissions as a result of more than 150 years of industrial activity. Developing nations like China and India which need space for development were not equated with developed countries.

But now, in Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen India and China may be compelled to make ‘some’ commitments to achieve tangible emission reductions because, today China is the top emitter and has already surpassed the USA and India’s emissions are growing much faster than previous.
