Manohar commented on the blog MNRE report on Biofuels 9 months ago
@ Dr A JagadeeshBut for the propsal to get employment, the idea of biofuels will make me think. As it is there is inflation which tantamounts to an indirect taxation on the poor, which is uncontrollable. If we go for biofuels even in semi arid and uncultivated lands, the debate of food vs fuel will rage all across the country. In India if we can grow anything it has to be food and its price has tobe brought under control.Even at current prices, vegetables are denied to the poor. With biofuels, it will be seen as more.India can look at solar powered…-more»

Manohar commented on the blog Carbon nanotubes could store solar energy 10 months ago
" can store solar energy almost indefinitely"" After the heat is released, the solar thermal fuel can easily be recharged by exposing it to sunlight. In principle, the entire cycle could be repeated indefinitely without any loss of performance."Amazing. CNT and azobenzene seems to be a terrific combination and has huge potential for research in India too. Energy Storage is going to get lots of funding in the future in India. Thanks Rohit for the post.-more»
