How stupid..! They dont knw what they are talking about. It is estimated by TERI that around 25kW-30kW system is enough for a village with 100 houses. 500 Houses means, maximum of 150kW, and what to do with a 5MW system..!-more»

What about micro solar-battery hybrid power plants for the rural villages? It will be small in size also, may be a 25kW-30kW system. There no big upfront investment is required. Also if i am not wrong, Govt and many other agencies are pumping in a lot of money to this particular area.So you may get subsidies up to 90% ( All seniors members,please comment).Wind may not be a best option,i am afraid, because you cannot depend up on it for a complete year,, where as sun will give you at least 250-300days. -more»
