The oil technologists' association of india (otai), founded in 1943 is a premier organization of research of oilseeds, oils surfactants and allied products. It has membership of over 1600 from all over the world. The association functions through five autonomous zones, viz. Central at kanpur, northern at new delhi, eastern at kolkata, western at mumbai and southern at hyderabad.

Essential oil association of india is registered under societies act (19) was set up in 1956 with a view of promoting advancement in the knowledge of science and technology of essential oils. It is headquartered in new delhi. Its objective is to promote and encourage the advancement of the knowledge of essential oil chemistry and technology, and its practical application in industry.

Association of oil & gas operators (aogo) was formed on august 1, 2006 and is registered with the registrar of societies new delhi. It presently has twenty-two members. It represents 99% of upstream operations in india. Aogo office is at nehru place, new delhi. It assists the government in pursuing policies that maximize recovery from oil & gas fields.
