The Tamil Nadu government’s announcement recently giving two options for industries viz., either opt for a two-day power holiday a week or choose a 30% reduction in power supply for HT units and 15% for LT units, has evoked mixed response from industry bodies in the state. While associations like the CII, FICCI, NASSCOM and TANSTIA have welcomed the power holiday, others like the SIMA prefers the reduced power supply.
