India's NHPC to set up 100-MW wind project in MP - India Renewable Energy Consulting – Solar, Biomass, Wind, Cleantech

India’s largest hydro-electric power producer, NHPC, is foraying into wind power generation by setting up a 100-MW power project in Madhya Pradesh.

“The company is setting up a 100-MW wind energy project at Kukroo in Madhya Pradesh,” NHPC CMD S K Garg told PTI.

It also plans to enter into solar as well as other non-conventional sources of energy generation. NHDC is a joint venture between NHPC and the Madhya Pradesh government, where NHPC holds 51% stake and the rest is held by the state government.
