CSCI to reduce greenhouse emission by 4 mn tonnes

Climate Servers Computing Initiative (CSCI) recently pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by four million ton over next three years which will be equivalent to planting of 4800 square kilometers of trees.

“In next three years, the CSCI will cut greenhouse gas emissions in an amount equal to planting around 4800 square kilometers of tress,” said Rahul Bedi, Director Corporate Affairs – South Asia Intel, at the inaugural ceremony of CSCI India Chapter. Bedi has been elected first chairman of CSCI India chapter.

CSCI would conduct multiple activities to create awareness among users as well. CSCI has proposed to Bureau of Energy of Efficiency (BEE) to come up with energy efficient rating through its star labeling program for Computing devices.
