To promote awareness among people on the benefits of solar energy, the Union Government has decided to set up solar energy panels at important shrines in the country like Tirupathi, Vaishnodevi and Shirdi.

The Central Government has also decided to give one crore rupees to each state for installation of solar energy equipments at the Raj Bhavan in their respective states, Abdullah added.
