The Indian Government will soon implement a scheme to provide power in the areas bordering Bangladesh with solar power. This was announced by the Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Dr Farooq Abdullah.
The Union Minister said that the backward regions of Assam including the areas bordering Bangladesh can be electrified with solar energy and assured that the Centre would take steps in this direction.
