Press release

All right, this is a press release, but am posting it in our blog, and there is a reason for this.

EAI’s Consulting team had worked with wind turbine OEM major ReGen‘s top management team when they were doing the initial strategic market research and planning for the launch of their utility scale solar inverter. You could hence say we are having a nice feeling to see this inverter being formally launched in the market.

Now for the press release

ReGen Powertech a market leader in Indian wind energy industry is all set to launch their new product the “2 MW Solar Central Inverter” on Tuesday the 12th of August 2014 at Hyatt Regency, Anna Salai, Teynampet, Chennai. This solar inverter will be launched in the presence of Mr Jürgen Rinck, CEO, Vensys AG, Germany and Mr Urban Schippmann, CEO, Vensys Electrotechnik, Germany. This official launch expands ReGen’s footprint into solar inverter manufacturing and services.

The inverter, a first of its kind in India, with containerized 2MW solar PV central inverter and Water Cooling System can operate without de-rating ambient temperature up to 55°C. This tropicalized water cooled system though new to the solar fraternity, has 3 years of operating experience in Indian terrain through ReGen’s wind converters. Some of the other notable features of this inverter are: availability as containerized and indoor solution, wide MPPT range and LVRT compliance to name a few.

The 2 MW Solar Central Inverter has been engineered very similar to ReGen’s wind converter which makes manufacturing, sourcing of material and servicing very quick and efficient. These inverters will be manufactured at ReGen’s factory in Tada, Andhra Pradesh and Udaipur, Rajasthan. The services will be provided by ReGen’s 300 plus O&M site team spread across various locations in India. All the inverters will be provided with SCADA, connected with ReGen’s central monitoring network.

ReGen with their strong holding in India and other SAARC countries is very hopeful of earning a huge market share in the solar inverter business in the days to come.
