Introduction: –

Energy is the key input for socio economic development of any nation. Indian economy has been growing at a rapid and impressive pace averaging over 8% during last few years and is now moving in the high growth phase. The key ingredient in achieving these growth rates and sustaining them would be availability of adequate quantity power at affordable price. The first industrialization and rapid urbanization besides mechanized farming have generated a high demand of energy in all forms i.e. thermal, electrical and me- chanical. To meet this ever increasing demand fossil fuel such as coal, oil and natural gas have been over exploited in an unsustainable manner. The over exploitation of fossil fuels have been posing serious envi- ronmental problems such as Global warming and climate change. While we have shortage of energy and more dependent on imports in case of petroleum, we are fortunate enough to be blessed with plenty of natural sources of energy such as Solar, Wind, Hydro and Biomass etc. These sources are environmental friendly and non-depleting in nature as well as are available in most part of the Country throughout the year.

Government of India has launched a massive Programme on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. Several Mission mode programmes has been launched in this direction. The use of Renewable Energy De- vices is increasingly rapidly. There has been a growth of 60% in the Solar Energy Sector alone in last year. At this point India needs human resources in this emerging field. There is an acute shortage of manpower in this sector in this Country. India has to generate more than 100, 000 MW of power from RE sources. The demand of manpower in this sector will further increase with such ambitious target. It is in this context ARKA COMMUN ITY COLLEGE has launched the Advanced Certificate Course in Renewable Energy at Hyderabad and Chennai in association with Steinbeis Centre for Technology Transfer India to cater the manpower need of the region.

Galileo Master Certification from European Energy Centre (Optional with extra fees)

Total Theory Classes— 100 Hrs. Total Practical Classes—50 Hrs. Industrial Training—50 Hrs.

Course Fees: –

Certificate Course in Renewable Energy: Rs. 35,000/- per participant payable in two installments + Rs. 2500/- Admission Fees , Rs. 10,000/- (Optional Fees if opted for Steinbeis University Berlin Certification)

Optional Galileo Master Certification Examination: Rs. 5,000/- plus 12.36% Service Tax per participant The Galileo Master Certificate is the internationally recognised certificate for the renewable energy sector.
