IREDA and PNB collaborate to boost financing for renewable energy projects in India

Power | Solar Thermal | Partnership and Collaboration

India's IREDA and PNB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on February 19, 2024 to collaborate on financing renewable energy projects. This partnership aims to streamline access to finance for developers in the sector and support India's goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel based electricity generation by 2030.

Notes

An interesting partnership indeed - one between a nationalized bank and an NBFC engaged in promoting, developing and extending financial assistance for setting up projects relating to new and renewable sources of energy and energy efficiency/conservation.
