Runaya Unveils 12,000 Tonnes Per Annum Green Aluminium Recovery Plant

Mining & Metals | Low Carbon Metals | Innovation and Startups

Runaya, a sustainable manufacturing leader, unveiled its new calcium aluminate plant in Jharsuguda. This facility signifies a step towards environmental stewardship with a focus on green aluminium recovery and a zero waste, zero-discharge strategy. The plant boasts a capacity of 12,000 metric tons per annum and is poised to supply premium products to the steel industry.

While there have been many efforts at waste energy (heat especially) recovery at industrial units, there have been much less innovation in industrial waste management and resource efficiency. Runaya is one of the pioneering efforts in this direction, and it should not surprise anyone that there is a big Vedanta hand in it!
