See the following graph for a cumulative installed wind power capacity by country (source: Earth Policy)

The first thing that interests me is that India is pretty high up there; the second that is really impressive is the exponential growth rate that can be seen for most every country in the chart. Except for Denmark which has been a dominant player right from the beginning, the curve has taken off for most countries between 2000 and 2007.

If this graph holds good for the next 5-7 years, just imagine the enormous amounts of economic activity that will be taking place in wind energy and the extra-ordinary value it can add to society, economy and the people!
