16% school students getting climate education could reduce 19 billion tons of GHG emissions

While a lot of efforts are spent on decarbonizing our industry, transport and even homes, little attention is paid to how we can groom the next generation to build a low carbon world.

The Brookings Institution recently did a study on the issue and came up with the interesting finding that “If only 16 percent of high school students in high- and middle-income countries were to receive climate change education, we could see a nearly 19 gigaton reduction of carbon dioxide by 2050”.
