Deep dive into our work

Speciale Invest is a venture capital firm with a huge interest in deep tech startups and innovations.

Sunil must be up to his gills researching on climate tech innovations – he has so many interesting thoughts and insights on both emerging tech and the challenges faced.

The following were the ones I liked the most:

𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐦: Waste heat utilization and heat pumps – both have something to do with each other and I’m equally fascinated with both. Heat pumps, I feel, especially have significant potential for a country like India and cities like Chennai where the annual climate range can be concisely defined as hot-hotter-hottest.

𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐝, I feel the following is a high pact recommendation: “𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘱𝘵 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘱𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘢”. This will be, I reckon, even more applicable to deep tech startups. Corporate venture investing can really go a long way to buck up this ecosystem, as their investments can be strategic and can be aligned to goals with a longer duration, something deep tech startups can do well with.
