    According to the article,

    • Neste Corporation is developing a 120 MW electrolyser project at its Porvoo refinery in Finland.
    • The project aims to produce green hydrogen, with potential production starting in 2026.
    • This initiative supports Neste’s goal to transform the Porvoo refinery into the most sustainable in Europe by 2030

Neste has signed an agreement with tThyssenKrupp Nucera to reserve production capacities for an alkaline water electrolysis plant to be incorporated into its Porvoo refinery in Finland. The agreement covers the supply of six standardized 20 MW modules from ThyssenKrupp Nucera, providing a total installed capacity of 120 MW.

The significance of Neste reserving production capacity with ThyssenKrupp Nucera is that it secures the timeline and supply of the critical electrolysis technology needed for Neste’s large-scale green hydrogen project. ThyssenKrupp Nucera is a leading global supplier of high-efficiency alkaline water electrolysis technology, and this agreement represents the third major production capacity reservation they have signed in just a few months, demonstrating the high demand for their systems.
