Leitner Shriram Wind Turbine Plant Goes On Stream - India Renewable Energy Consulting – Solar, Biomass, Wind, Cleantech

Leitner Shriram Manufacturing’s new wind turbine plant, set up near here at an investment of Rs.200 crore, was formally commissioned Friday.

Leitner Shriram, a 51:49 joint venture between Italian group Leitner and city-based Shriram EPC, makes 1.5 MW class wind turbines at the new facility, while its existing plant in Puducherry makes 250 KV wind turbines.

The new plant has a capacity to make 120 units turbines a year, and the company aims to increase it to 250 units by next fiscal, a company spokesperson said.
