Vestas recently received an order for 60 units of the V82-1.65 MW wind turbine for a wind power project located in Theni in the state of Tamil Nadu, South India. The order has been placed by CLP.
Vestas will be executing this contract and all activities, including manufacturing, planning, execution and service support for the project, from India. The V82 – 1.65 MW turbine for this project will be made in India and only a few critical components will be sourced from overseas suppliers.
Vestas has been active in India for more than 10 years, and had installed more than 2,100 MW of wind power in India.
