SJVNL – Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam – a hydropower major, the business operations of which were earlier limited to Nathpa Jhakri Hydropower station (NJHPS)  in Himachal Pradesh, is rapidly expanding its footprints in other parts of India, and into Nepal and Bhutan as well. The PSU has envisaged a capacity addition of close to 3600 MW over next few years, and also plans to enter new areas such as solar and wind power, and power trading.
