Use of cashew nut shells in boilers – looking for case studies

A client of ours – a global FMCG – is keen on identifying companies that are using deoiled cashew nut shells in their boilers. Preferably in India, though not necessarily.

The client is building a business case for use of this feedstock in their FBC (fluidized bed combustion) boiler and is keen to learn from companies using the feedstock.

The client has already phased out 80% of their coal in their boilers and replaced with biomass, and keen to go 100% by end of this year. They are already part of RE100 globally, so any inputs with regard to use of cashewnut shell could help these guys achieve their targets a bit more easily.
