To fly or not to fly – Today’s clidemy climate poll

A New York – Delhi – New York round trip on a plane will have a CO2 carbon footprint – PER PERSON TRAVELLED – that is equivalent to running a 1 ton AC for 8 hours for one full year.

Looks exceptionally high, but this is a fact.

That is, if you avoid that long distance, international round trip – 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦 – you are cutting off emissions that a typical residential AC emits for a year.

Avoiding a Chennai-Delhi-Chennai trip could mean avoiding a month of AC emissions.

Given the above startling facts, would you like to avoid flying to the extent possible? This is today’s Climate poll from Clidemy.

Poll by: CliDemy – the Climate Academy – 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘵 & 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵-𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥𝘸𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘣𝘺 2030. Help us do that!
