Green Hydrogen in Extended Renewable Energy Storage

Here’s a report found on the site of the Department Of Energy (DOE) that proves how hydrogen is proving its excellence in the game against climate change.

According to it,

  • As the grid decarbonizes, storing renewable energy for multi-day periods becomes crucial. Batteries are great for short bursts, but hydrogen shines for extended needs.
  • Fuel Cell Powerhouse:Think zero-emission generators for homes, buildings, and even heavy-duty vehicles. Hydrogen fuel cells are quiet, efficient, and emit only water vapour.
  • Hydrogen steps in as a backup, ensuring a reliable flow of electricity when renewables need a break.

Interestingly, we have some other posts related to this content:

Global Hydrogen Production Market Growth: The global hydrogen production market was valued at $130 billion in 2021 and is estimated to grow at a rate of 9.2% per year, reaching a value of $2.81 trillion by 2030.
