“The declining value of carbon credits is prompting some major Indian companies to spend money on renewable energy projects instead of preventing pollution.” This is what I read at one of our forum posts. Now, I’m not sure if this is good or bad.

Sure, thrust on renewables is a good idea, but to do it instead of reducing pollution…now, how good is that?
