Suzlon Energy Limited (Suzlon), has ensured a strategic partnership with EUFER, which is a joint-venture between ENEL Green Energy and Spanish Utility UNION FENOSA for renewable energy business in Spain and Portugal.
Suzlon will supply and install Suzlon’s 2.1 megawatt (MW) wind turbines for wind farms totalizing 224.5 MW. These machines are proposed to be installed up to fiscal 2010-11.
Suzlon also announced its commitment to assisting in the industrialization plans for Andalusia, Spain, with a blade manufacturing facility. It will also assist in creating infrastructure and employment to the Spanish wind energy market. EUFER has extended full support to Suzlon in these plans.
