First Indian IBIS Hotel Gets Environmental Certification - India Renewable Energy Consulting – Solar, Biomass, Wind, Cleantech

After one year of successful operation, IBIS Gurgaon, the international economy hotel brand of Accor, has been certified with the ISO 14001 environmental certification. With this certification, IBIS Gurgaon joins the brands green commitment to sustainable development committing to actions to respect the environment including sorting waste and recycling, energy and water saving initiatives. As a part of Accor’s strong commitment towards the environment, all Ibis hotels are committed to working to ISO14001 standards. Today, 270 hotels in 15 countries have achieved certification.

ISO14001 certification is one of the most highly regarded environmental standards and validates the company policies on waste reduction and water and energy consumption, in accordance with local regulations. The brand has set itself the goal to have 75% of its hotels certified by 2010.
