Photon Energy Systems’ 3MW PV plant in India is being hailed as the largest capacity PV plant in the country. The new plant, which supplies energy for the agricultural pump-sets, does the same through Karnataka Power Corp, and it has been installed for the enhancement of rural power supply in the towns of Itnal and Chikodi, which are located in the Belgaum district.
In just about six months, the plant was constructed on 17 acres using 13,000 modules.
It has produced 1.76 million units of solar power ever since its commission.
