Introduction:
Climate Change Mitigation refers to efforts to reduce or prevent emission of greenhouse gases. Mitigation can
mean using new technologies and renewable energies, making older requipment more energy efficient, or
changing management practices or consumer behaviour. It can be as complex as a plan for a new city, or as a
simple as improvements to a cook stove design.
The focus is now on action. The least we can do is to applaud the pioneers who are leading from the front. Learn
from their experiences. And replicate their success stories.
Program:

Inaugural Address by
Bharat Joshi, British Deputy High Commissioner, British Deputy High Commission, Chennai.
