    Several Indian corporates have expressed interest in diversifying into green hydrogen. Here are a few notable ones:

    1. NTPC
      • NTPC, India’s largest integrated energy company, has awarded a project for a standalone fuel-cell-based microgrid with hydrogen production using an electrolyzer at NTPC Simhadri in Andhra Pradesh.
      • This project is India’s first Green Hydrogen-based Energy Storage Project and one of the world’s largest.
      • The project utilizes an advanced 240 kW Solid Oxide Electrolyzer to produce hydrogen.
    2. Indian Oil Corporation
      • IOC plans to build a green hydrogen plant at its 160,000 barrels per day (bpd) Mathura refinery in Uttar Pradesh.
      • The plant will produce green hydrogen through electrolysis, utilizing wind power generated in Rajasthan and transmitted to Mathura
      • IOC has also signed a binding term sheet to form a joint venture along with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and ReNew Power, to develop the green hydrogen sector in India
