Even if Newtrace might be able to bring down the capex (which in itself is definitely a creditable achievement), the opex is equally important as it requires over 50 kWh of electricity to make a Kg of hydrogen through the electrolysis process.

Even at 4 US cents a kWh (about Rs 2/unit of power), the opex alone is over $2/Kg of hydrogen.
