Renewable Energy is one of the main decarbonization themes at the CLIMAFIX Summit 2022 to be held on Nov 25 & 26, Chennai and organized by EAI and IIT Madras - Energy Consortium.

Renewable Energy Insights, Innovations @ CLIMAFIX Summit 2022

Introduction

Renewable energy is one of the most important decarbonization avenues, with solar and wind power expected to contribute to decarbonization of the Indian grid over the next decade. For heating, bio-energy is fast replacing coal and fossil fuels in many industrial and commercial applications. In the transport sector, biofuels are contributing significantly to emissions reductions. In addition, there are efforts to leverage the potential of emerging sources such as geothermal, offshore wind, wave and tidal energy.

While some of the sub-sectors within renewable energy, especially solar and wind power, are maturing fast, these yet possess signification potential for innovation, be they in form of digital solutions to enhance efficiences & yield or in terms of storage solutions to overcome the infirm nature of the renewable energy source. Domains such as bio-energy and biofuels are still in their early stages presenting massive potential for innovations and startups.

The Renewable Energy sector within the CLIMAFIX Summit 2022 will have over 30 startups sharing their insights and providing brief presentations of their value propositions, in two sessions - a Panel Discssion and a Snapshot Session.

In addition, we expect 100-125 relevant delegates to include early stage renewable energy startups or entrepreneurs with the potential to found renewable energy startups in future.
